Simplicity is a choreographic proposal that examines the body’s capacity to ground through the folding and unfolding of the dancer’s anatomical structure.

The process of slowly shifting weight creates simple balances that are suspended in tension against the potential of multiple tipping points as the body slowly inverts. The body transitions from the vertical to the horizontal in an elongated somersault, mediated not by momentum but through spinal lengthening, returning the body eventually back to the vertical.
